Terms of service

These terms cover The Schematic Index mod, its catalogue and this website, run by Schematic Index, founded by Fudgedy1 & SubwayWraps. By installing the mod or using the site you agree to them. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, Northern Ireland or outside the UK you also keep the consumer protections of where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.

The service

The Schematic Index is a free Fabric client mod that shows a community schematic catalogue inside Minecraft. The catalogue is served by a hosted backend. We may change or remove parts of the mod, the catalogue or a cosmetic for a good reason, such as a Minecraft update, a security or abuse problem, a rights complaint, or because a feature is no longer used, and we will say so in the Discord.

Your account

Your identity is your Minecraft account, checked the same way a Minecraft server checks you when you join it. There is no password. You must be at least 13 to use the service. You are responsible for what is posted from your account.

Posting builds

Uploading needs an upload code issued by staff. You confirm you have the right to share any schematic you post and that it is your own work or you have permission from its designer. Staff review uploads and may edit, unpublish or remove posts and revoke codes for spam, stolen builds, harmful content or abuse.

Conduct

Do not try to cheat the service or its servers, use more than one account to collect rewards, use bots or exploits to gain Shards, pretend to be someone else, or interfere with other players. Accounts that do, or that dispute a payment with their bank without a genuine reason, may be limited or suspended; we will say why in a Discord ticket and you can appeal there.

Shards and cosmetics

Shards are in-game credits that only work inside The Schematic Index. They have no cash value and cannot be transferred, traded, sold or exchanged for money. Everything sold for Shards is cosmetic or saves time; nothing gives an advantage in the game, and everything can also be earned for free by playing. When you buy a cosmetic you get the right to show it in the mod. You do not own it. It may look or work differently after an update; if we remove one you bought, or change it so it no longer does what it did when you bought it, we return the Shards you paid for it.

Liability

The mod and site are provided as they are, and we cannot promise they will always be available or bug-free. If the mod damages your device or other files, including worlds, because we did not take reasonable care, you can ask us to repair the damage or pay for it, as consumer law provides. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for loss of data or income, for Shards you earned, or for content posted by other users. Shards and cosmetics you paid for are covered by the terms of sale and by your legal rights, and nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; we post notable changes in the Discord and on this page before they take effect. The terms that apply to a purchase are the ones published when you placed it. Questions go to the Discord.
